Sec1 Uniform Checklist

Beret
Crest
- the crest must not be slanted
- the crest is directly above the left eyebrow
Seasoned lines
- must be seen visibly
- there is a roof above covering the crest
Position
- the beret is 1 finger above eyebrows
- hairs must be kept in the beret and not be revealed
“Pig tail”
- the “tail” is well hidden
- it is totally not revealed- it must be well secured

Uniform (top)
Iron lines
- iron lines are distinct and there is only one iron line
- iron line at the sleeve should be ironed to the back of the shoulder lapel- there must be no crumpled lines
Buttons
- buttons are all positioned in the correct direction
- buttons are polished
Collar
- the collar must be ironed to a “M” shape (for male) or flat down (for female)
Rank
- rank are ironed down to a flat shape

Badges/ Formation sign and Name tag
Shininess
- badges are polished
- clean and free of fingerprints
Positioning
- badges are to be aligned and touching the uniform line if applicable.
- there must be no space in between each badge
- badges are to be placed in the correct position
- badge must be placed straight and not in a slanted position
Name Tag
- name tag must be horizontal and touching the right pocket line (for male) or in line with the first button (for female)
- centralised
Formation sign
- two finger from the end of shoulder lapels
- touching the iron line

Belt
Polished
- belt must be polished
- there is no fingerprints on the leather part and the metal parts
- the entire belt must be darken
Positioning
- the belt worn must be in line with the shirt/ blouse button and zip of the pants (for male)
- belt loop is 2 fingers away from the end
- the belt is tight and not loose
- the belt must enter every belt holes on the trousers

Uniform (bottom)
Iron lines (male)
- the iron lines must be distinctive
- the iron lines at the front should start at the first and the last belt loops of the trousers
- the iron lines at the back should merge at the centre of the third and forth belt loops of the trousers
- there must be no crumpled lines
Iron lines (female)
- there must be no iron lines found on the skirt
- there must be no crumpled lines
Bearing (male)
- the pants must be of the right length; no gathers at the bottom and the pants must be at least covering half the boots
Bearing (female)
- skirt must be 3 fingers above the back of the knee
- zip of the skirt should be in line with the seam line of the blouse

Boots
Shininess
- boots cap are polished and reflection can be seen
- the other parts of the boots are to be polished as well
- boots are kept clean
Boots lace
- boots lace are shorten using chain knot (for male)
- laces tied in a horizontal manner and not crossed (for female)

Overall impression
Hair
- hair colour must be of natural colour
- hair must be short and neat (for male) and no long and thick sideburns
- no hair gel
- hair clips must be black in colour (for female)
- figure of 8 clips must be used (for female)
- hair net must be used (for female)
Facial
- no cosmetic
- no facial hair except for eyebrows and eyelashes
- only one pair of transparent ear sticks is allowed (for female)
- spectacle hooks must be used (if applicable)
- no piercing on the face
- no tinted spectacle lens
Fingers
- finger nails must be short
- no nail polish must be used
Attire
- the buttons at the shoulder lapel must be above the rank
- the belt must not be covered by the shirt when tucked out
- socks must be black colour
- socks must be above the boots (for male)
- socks must be pulled to the maximum (for female)
