Having served in Deyi Sec Sch NPCC Unit as OC Unit for the past 10 years, Mrs Raja had greatly done her part as the OC Unit in building up the Unit to where we are today. Mrs Raja took over the Unit in 1999 from ex-OC Mr Gary Chong after she was transferred over to Deyi Sec Sch as a teacher. She was formerly from Maris Stella High School and had served as TO and OC in Maris Stella High School NPCC Unit.

Mrs Raja brought glory to our Unit when we achieved our FIRST Silver award in year 1999, the year when she took over. Over the years, she had seen many batches of cadets passed out as young leaders...the future for the nation. She is just like a motherly figure in the Unit caring for the welfare of the cadets during training but yet at the same time maintained the basic discipline and standards. She had always had high expectations of every Chairman of the Unit which enable the Chairmans to uphold the standards as well as to experience what is real working life like out there in the outside world. And whenever cadets had difficulties or problems, she will always have the patience to guide them or even just spending her time lending her ears to listen.

Many leaders had served under her be it the NCOs Committee or Cadet Inspectors...all of us will have a unison phrase about Mrs Raja..."Don't mess around with her..." But on the other hand, we too had lots of happy memories working with her. She is indeed a role model for everyone of us.

Mrs Raja will be transferring school to Raffles Girls' School as a teacher. Here let us all wish her all the best in her teaching career and her life. We will miss her...
