Passing Out Parade 2010
On the 31st July 2010, we were proud to witness the Passing Out Parade of 21 Secondary 4 Cadet Leaders Batch 09/10 and the Handing Over & Standing Down Ceremony for the Unit Instructors.
Once again, we have come to the time of the year when our Sec4 Cadet Leaders have completed their journey in NPCC and is time to focus on their major examinations coming up which is their Os and Ns level. It has been a very fruitful 4 years and a big contribution on their part to sustain our 2nd Gold Award. They have put in their hardwork and effort to lay down a solid foundation for future batches to build on. I believe it was a mixed feelings for the Sec4s...Good job and all the best for your examinations!
The Passing Out Parade was held in the school hall with the Sec1s to 3s formed up the supporting contingent and Sec4s for the Guard of Honour. It followed by an Inspection by our OC Mr Imran and NPCC Pledge taking. It was the last time that our Sec4s recited this pledge. Then the Change of Command Parade took place with the Outgoing Chairman SI (NPCC) Alan Lee handing over the Sword of Command to the Incoming Chairman SSGT (NPCC) Solihin. Upon the command of Bersurai, the Sec4s accorded their last salute to the Officers and CIs and threw their beret high up in the air to mark their Passing Out. It followed by a video and award presentations.
We were pleased to announce the following Senior Cadet Leaders who had greatly contributed to the success of the Unit and went the extra miles to ensure that the Unit reached a good standard. Their efforts were greatly appreicated and they were awarded the following awards:

The Unit is very proud to have such committed and passionate Instructors to guide, mentor and to train our cadets. I believed everyone of us was saddened by their standing down but I hoped the Unit and the Cadets can take on their spirit and continue on the legacy which they have left behind to maintain or even to improve them. They will be remembered for their contributions made to the Unit and their hardwork is deeply appreciated by everyone!

With that, as continued on from the speech delivered by our OC Mr Imran during the Ceremony, an email as reflected below:
Dear all,
As I was too emotional to finish my speech, let me end it via email.
After today's stand down ceremony for senior CIs, I will like to officially appoint the junior CIs as the CI batch to plan and run the training for the unit. Gary will assist me, Mr Kelly Tan and Joel to coordinate the CIs.
Senior CIs: I hope you will continue to serve NPCC in one way or another. All of you are still part of the Deyi NPCC family and are always welcome to come back to help out in the unit. With the skills, knowledge and experience, you will be excellent mentors to the cadets, cadet leaders and junior CIs. I hope when the need arises, you can come back to help the unit.
Alan and Skandan, we will give present your plaques during the next unit parade.
Junior CIs: Its time for you to take up the responsibility and take over officially. Your seniors have left behind a standard that you have to continue to maintain and further improve. Take up the challenge to bring the unit to greater heights. I am sure you can do it.
Once again, I thank all seniors CIs who have been a great help to me ever since I entered Deyi NPCC, especially in my first year as an OC. I wish all of you all the best in your future endeavours.
Mr Imran
